Travel Essentials with Summer Scents!

Hey there you!

I hope you are all having a fabulous week, despite that fact that Summer seems to have escaped us! I have a few gorgeous little treats to show you today! Recently I was sent some stuff in the mail, exciting, I know! But sometimes something really does catch my eye and this little trio did just that.

I received two beautifully designed boxes, one containing a body lotion and one a soap from the company Summerdown Mint. I don't know about you but the first thing I do when I am looking for any bath or body products is give them a good sniff! So I did, and I was literally BLOWN away by the scent. It reminded me of being in the most beautiful flower laden English garden in the height of summer, sipping Pimms, of course. So there were no surprises when I read on the box that the products are created in the heart of the English countryside.

The body lotion is literally to die for, it's a light creamy texture which is in fact perfect for summer and it soaks in seriously quickly and seriously well! It's the kind of moisturiser that you wouldn't fear it soaking into your white linen dress when you sit down!

The soap is gorgeous too and when used fills the bathroom with the luxurious heady scent of the garden you can't wait to get back to outside! The soap is now happily sitting in my bathroom giving me a bit of a luxury hotel feel!

The last item surprised me beyond belief, it came, the packaging is lovely but I simply thought, "oh nice, a tin candle, cute." Wrong Hollee, wrong again. It's 2016 a product can't just be a product it has to have a little bit extra and this does. The candle is made by a company called Creative Energy Candles and is made with 100% soyabean and coconut oil. But the surprise? Well it's also a lotion, yes an anti-ageing lotion. Crazy I know. After you're done burning your candle, let it cool for a moment or two then pour the still liquid wax into your hand for a beautifully scented lotion. The eucalyptus and peppermint scent is to die for, it's clean and invigorating. This is definitely going in my suitcase for holiday!

What little luxuries do you travel with in Summer? Let me know below! xx

Easy Gel Nails At Home

Hello Internet Friends!

Today I wanted to introduce you to a system that can make your strong glossy nail dreams come true. Let me start off by saying that my nails are awful. I bite them, I have hangnails, I think it's a nervous thing anyway, I have dabbled in attempting to make my gnawed stubs look Instagram chic and on more than one occasion I have failed. I've tried nail art, cuticle oils galore, I have the kit and caboodle but not the time nor the patience.

Luckily I was sent a teeny tiny little kit in the mail from United BeautyThe Gel Touch Mini Kit. I must have been wearing my pessimistic hat that day as my thoughts were "this won't make MY nails look nice, no way". I thought I'll give it a go and what's the worst that can happen. So I did.
The box is small and compact. It's perfect for taking with you on holiday or round a friends house when you're all getting ready together. Inside there is a small UV light that is powered by USB, some cleansing wipes and a topcoat, oh and instructions.
Wait, no colour? Oh no no, no colour at all BECAUSE this works with ANY nail polish you have already. YAAAHS! No need to curate a whole new collection, you can use all your favourite colours still.

As you can tell, I'm becoming more optimistic. So step one was to paint my nails with my normal varnish and leave to dry for 20-30 minutes. Done and done. Then apply the top coat and cure each nail under the light for 60 seconds. No timers needed as the light shuts off when time is up. Amazing. I did two lots of top coat for a stronger hold. Final step is to wipe off the sticky residue with a cleansing wipe. My only issue is it only came with two so you will need to buy more. But hey presto you are done. But wait, there's more! (sorry) When you're bored of the colour or it's time for a new look, you can peel this stuff off. It's incredible.
I was so pleased with the result of this polish, my nails usually chip straight away from housework etc and so far so good. It claims to last up to 10 days and it's day 6 for me and still going strong. The final look is stong, seriously glossy, beautiful nails. They look salon done and I can still use my favourite red polish.

The price of the kit is super reasonable at £24.99 and is worth every penny. You can buy it direct from United Beauty here. You'd be a fool not to! xx

Imperial Candles. The Candle with a Jewel Inside!

Hi Guys,

So a bit of a home/gift post today. A few years ago I came across a brand called Imperial Candles. Essentially Imperial Candles make soy wax candles but they hold a secret! Ever candle comes with a Jewel immersed inside the wax!

You can choose what kind of jewellery you would like in your candle, from rings to necklaces and you can pick your sizes too! The jewel itself is sterling silver and can have a value of anywhere between £25 to £2000! It's such an exciting thing to have!

The jewels are wrapped in two layers of foil and then a little plastic bag to ensure they aren't damaged by any heat or wax. All you have to do is light your candle and wait for the foil to appear then simply prize it out with some tweezers, unwrap it and there you have your jewellery.

My first candle was English Pear and Vanilla, it smelt beautiful and the scent fills a room quite easily. They burn for an incredibly long time and come in a beautiful tall glass jar that you can easily wash out and reuse when you were done.

Imperial Candles were kind enough to send me a candle to show you all, this time the scent is Wild Passionfruit. I am not as keen on this scent as I was the last because it is a bit sweeter and I liked how clean the last one smelt. Nonetheless I am burning it right now, it is still a beautiful candle.

The ring I got inside the Wild Passionfruit candle is stunning. It had a value of £45 which is more than the candle cost! It is a beautiful Princess cut Amethyst coloured stone surrounded in clear crystal with a sterling silver ring.

I love these candles and they feel like such a treat, I think this would be a great alternative to an Easter egg, this time of year and a perfect gift for anytime!

You can buy Imperial Candles here, they do bath bombs now too!

Have you ever had one of these candles? Comment below! xx

Sachajuan Ocean Collection

Hello my beautiful internet friends.

I hope you had a fantastic bank holiday weekend, wherever you are! Today is another haircare extraordinaire. I've covered Sachajuan before on my blog (you can find the previous post here) but you can't have too much of a good thing right?

Following the love affair that began with the first bottle of Sachajuan, I managed to get my paws on their new Ocean range. My expectations were blown out of the water with this one (no pun intended). So I had to tell you more.

Ocean Mist Shampoo.

Not only does the colour of this shampoo glow blue like the beaches of the Bahamas, it has a beautiful scent that will literally fill the bathroom as you're using it. It contains Ocean Silk technology and natural vegetable proteins that leaves your hair feeling out of this world. The formula not only made my hair super soft but it gave it a texture and natural volume that I would expect from only using styling products. It felt like having new hair.

Ocean Mist Conditioner.

Again in a beautiful pastel blue, this conditioner packs a punch of scent. More intense than the shampoo and it keeps your hair smelling fresh for days (literally). The formula felt quite thin but it detangled and glided through my hair like a dream. A little goes a long way with this stuff which I love. The end result was silky soft hair, the likes of which I don't think I've had before and a refreshing intense scent that smells like luxury.

Ocean Mist Salt Spray.

This salt spray carries the scent from the shampoo and conditioner on into your styling which means your hair won't be filled with clashing fragrances. The formula is light and not crispy like I've found with other salt sprays. It's not drying but it adds matte texture and body to your hair for the ultimate beachy feel. You can use it on wet or dry hair so your options are open. It's such a versatile styling product that allows for a little bit of body or a full on beach bum barnet.

This range is the ultimate for me this Summer. It's so well conditioning and leaves my hair feeling damage free from the sun. If you have hair that feels like it's never silky then I highly recommend this to you. And if you feel your hair runs flat then this is also the one to grab.

You can find Sachajuan in the UK here and tell me, what is your fave haircare at the moment? I'm always one for trying something new! xx
